looking for you!
Are you ready for your next step towards strategy execution within a fast-growing company? Would you like to make real impact with a seat at the table together with the CEO and the Management Team? Do you like to create structure, take initiative and enjoy working with technical people on complex issues?

Chief of Staff to the CEO

Your Mission:
The EAE Group builds the technology behind some of the fastest machines in logistics and the printing industry. Our sorting systems process parcels for major carriers across Europe at high speed and with near-zero errors. Our press controls keep newspaper presses around the world printing to plan. In both markets, our controls, vision technology and software make split-second decisions on systems that cannot afford to stop. That combination of cutting-edge technology and high reliability is what we are known for. What makes the EAE Group special is the combination. We have a team of strong engineers and a product that sets us apart in the market. We also have a robust, profitable backbone that generates the cash to invest in our own growth. That gives us the speed of a scale-up with the stability of an established company. We are growing fast. Our Intralogistics business has roughly tripled its revenue since 2023. We now work directly with names like DHL, Amazon, PostNL, InPost and An Post[LP1.1].
Today we are more than 120 people, working from offices in the Netherlands, Germany, India, the USA and Spain. We are executing an ambitious strategy built on growth and internationalisation. The EAE Group is backed by Holland Capital, a technology-focused investment firm based in Amsterdam. Growth like this inevitably comes with growing pains. Projects get larger, customers expect more, and our processes, systems and organisation need to keep up. That is the challenge we are hiring for.
As Chief of Staff, you report to the Group’s CEO Tom van Holten[JW2.1] who stepped into this role this year. He has been in the company since 2017 during which he fulfilled roles in Product Management, Customer Relations, and Technology. You also work with the management team. You turn our strategy into concrete plans and make sure they get done. You lead improvement projects across the business, from engineering and project delivery to service, sales and finance. The management team is responsible for the results in their areas. You work alongside them and bring the pace, structure and follow-through that make changes stick[JW3.1]. You have no team of your own. You lead through influence, data-driven decision-making, and consistent follow-through. Together with the CEO Tom, you decide which initiatives you lead directly and which you support. This is a new role with a lot of ownership from day one. You shape it together with the CEO.

What you will do
•    Drive strategy execution. Run the monthly and quarterly strategy reviews. Track progress, follow up on decisions and keep everyone focused on what matters most.
•    Lead cross-functional projects. Take the lead on the improvement projects that help us scale. Examples: a standard way to deliver large projects, one view of our installed base worldwide, better insight into service profitability, and implementing AI in our daily work.
•    Make performance visible. Introduce the tools and routines that show how well the business and our initiatives perform, and where we need to act.
•    Bring clarity to decisions. Make clear who decides what. Spot issues early and bring the right people together to solve them.
•    Act as a trusted sounding board for the CEO. Help set priorities, prepare for key conversations, and keep discussions focused.
•    Prepare the quarterly board meetings. Coordinate the board information pack and the materials for shareholder and advisory board meetings together with our CEO and CFO.

Your Profile:
•    5 To 10 years of relevant experience[JW4.1], for example in strategy consulting, private equity, or a strategy or operations role at a scale-up
•    A track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects without formal authority
•    High agency: you see what needs to happen and start without waiting for a detailed brief
•    Structured and reliable: you turn a messy topic into a plan with owners and deadlines, and you close loops
•    Strong with numbers: you read a P&L, project margins and cash flow, and know which numbers drive the business
•    Clear in writing and in meetings: you produce board-ready material and run meetings that end in decisions
•    You earn trust at every level, from engineers on a customer site to the management team and the board. You are direct but tactful, discreet, humble and down-to-earth.
•    A degree in business, engineering, econometrics or a similar field
•    Fluent in English. Dutch or German is a strong plus
Experience in technology, industrial or project-based businesses is a plus, not a requirement
Preferably, you work from our offices fulltime, with occasional trips to Germany and India.

What does EAE Solutions offer you?
•    A seat at the table, working directly with the CEO and management team of a fast-growing technology company
•    A team of smart, technical people who care about doing the right things, right
•    A broad view of the business: technology, projects, service, finance and acquisitions, in an international setting
•    Competitive salary, with lease car and bonus, and opportunity to invest when proven
•    Participation in our pension scheme
•    25 days of annual leave, one additional public holiday, and the option to purchase extra holiday days.
•    Room to grow with the company. Depending on your interests, the role can lead to a management role within the EAE Group
•    Close collaboration with our shareholder and advisory board
